Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in our bodies. Its task is to keep water in the tissues and together with elastin and collagen fibres determines the elasticity and smoothness of the skin. Thanks to its hygroscopic properties (the acid molecule binds 40 times more water than it weighs), it allows the skin to maintain the proper level of tissue hydration. Unfortunately, the quantity and quality of hyaluronic acid decrease with age, which leads to sagging skin and the appearance of wrinkles. Thanks to the use of aesthetic medicine treatments, our skin regains its elasticity, imperfections. Wrinkles disappear, and the face regains its youthful and radiant appearance.

It is a non-surgical and minimally invasive rejuvenating treatment. Most importantly – the effects of the treatment are immediate!

Dermal Filler Treatment

Treatments with hyaluronic acid provide rapid improvement and correction of fine, medium and deep wrinkles, folds, facial contours (hyaluronic threads, face volumetry) and augmentation.

They work by replenishing the body’s natural hyaluronic acid resources, inhibit collagen breakdown caused by collagenases, contributing to the improvement of the skin’s appearance, and also stimulate the production of new collagen.

Filling wrinkles is done by injecting into the appropriate depth of the skin a gel (there are several types of them) tha imitates the tissue structure. This ensures an improvement in the volume and firmness of the skin by appropriately lifting sagging tissues. This action eliminates the visible signs of aging.

These fillers work long-term, but not permanently

The human body has its system of enzymatic breakdown of hyaluronic acid. The effect after the treatment usually lasts from 7 to 18 months, after which hyaluronic acid is naturally absorbed (biodegradable).

Treatments do not require special preparation on the part of the patient and downtime after. Dermal filler is administrated into the skin with a thin needle, to improve the patient’s comfort, the numbing cream with lidocaine can be used before the procedure.

The procedure takes about 30 minutes and the effect is immediate. Immediately after the treatment, the skin may be slightly red and swollen. These symptoms disappear within a few hours. A bruise may also appear.
